In this tutorial, I will show you how to knit a headband with a twist in English rib. It’s a beautiful and warm accessory, that will keep your ears warm. It’s also a fast and easy project to knit. This headband is knit back and forth, I knit in the Continental style, but you can easily knit in the English style – the pattern stays the same.

How to knit a headband with a twist

Yarn – light worsted yarn. I chose Lima by Drops (1.8 oz = approx 109 yards (50 g = approx 100 m). I’ve used less, than 1 skein.

Needles – 3.5mm (US4/UK9). I used 40cm (16″) circular needles.

Adult fit, head circumference: 56-58cm (22″-22.5″). If you want to change the width – cast on more/fewer stitches, but a total stitch count must be a multiple of 3.
