you hi guys hope you are having an amazing day under there from crabby patterns and I'm back with a new crochet tutorial in my last video I asked you guys what tutorials would you like to see next on my channel and so many of you said that you would like to see more tutorials for baby shoes for little boys and that's exactly what I did I took my crochet hook and some blue and gray yarn and created a pattern for cute baby sneakers the best thing is that they are great for boys and girls because they don't have a big pool or a bunch of flowers on
them the pattern is very simple it's made in four steps so heel Punk and shoelaces as always you can find a link to the written pattern pdf pattern with one additional size stitch abbreviations and links to the yarn I'm using in the tutorial in the description box below let me show you what you will need for this tutorial you will need some DK weight yarn I'm using 100% cotton yarn in gray and blue color so you can actually choose any color of your new light you will also need a pair of scissors stitch markers to mark important stitches 3.5 millimeter or
efore crochet hooks and I our needle this tutorial starts with already finished crochet sole so if you are not coming from the tutorial for how to make a crochet soul please pause the video here and start with path tutorials first and comeback for the upper part you're going to find the link to the video for the crochet baby soul in the description box below before you end the crochet sole do not cut the yarn just continue with chain one work one back post half double crochet stitch into each stitch all the way around back post half double crochet stitches are almost the same as
normal hot double crochet stitches but instead of working in two top loops of each stitch work your half double crochet stitches around each stitch from the previous round coming from the back of the stitch so yarn over insert the hook from the back around the stitch yarn over and pull the loop through you have three loops on your crochet hooks now yarn over again and pull the loop through all three loops on your crochet hook and that's it you're back post half double crochet stitch now continue working your back post half double crochet stitches
to the end of the round as you can see here with the help of back post half double crochet stitches we are creating a nice border around the crochet so you can achieve very similar effect if you are working half double crochet stitches around the sole into back loops only but I personally prefer this method so I am using it in many of my crochet patterns at the end of the round you should have 44 stitches in total make sure you skip the chain from the previous round now join the round with a slip stitch keep stitching does not count as a really stitches in my
patterns and the first round is done cut the yarn and fasten off the next part we will work on will be shooting we will start off by marking 20 stitches on the toe part of the shoot so find the middle of the shoe and count and stitches on the right and then stitches on the left place markers and you are ready to go now start in one of your marks stitches I will start on my right shuto facing me from now on we will work in rows that means that we will make a chain to lift the row and turn after each row is very important that you crochet your first row of Tong into back
loops only there are two loops or a v-shape on the top of each stitch you will work in two loops that are placed further away from you so we call them back loops we will start in our first mark stitch and we will join the yarn with chain one then we will start crocheting in the same stitch and we will work one half double crochet into next 20 stitches so yarn over insert the hook into back loop yarn over and pull the loop through yarn over again and pull the loop through all three loops on your crochet hook now continue working one half double crochet into back loop to the
next marker as you can see here I am working around the yarn tail and I will hide it between the stitches so Row 1 is done chain 1 and turn your work from now on work into both loops work one single crochet into first four stitches skip two stitches and insert the hook into the third one work one double crochet into next eight stitches skip two stitches and work one single crochet in the last four stitches of this row at the end of this row you should have 16 stitches in total let's start with Row 3 chain 1 and turn your work work one single crochet into first two
stitches skip next tool work one double crochet into next eight stitches skip two stitches again and work one single crochet into last two stitches at the end of this row you should have 12 stitches in total let's continue with our next row row 4 chain 1 and turn your work skip first stitches and work 1 double crochet in the next 8 stitches skip one stitch and work one slip stitch into the last one because our life stitch slip stitch count as a stitch here we have at the end of this row nine stitches in total row 5 ro 5 is the row of double crochet stitches so chain 2 to
leave the row turn now start in the very first stitch and work one double crochet into next 9 stitches again at the end of row five you should have nine stitches in total and here is our final row on this part of the shoe because we would like to achieve round shape of the shoe style we will start a row with chain 1 then we will turn now work one single crochet into the first one one half double crochet in the next seven stitches and finish the row with one slip stitch into the last one now cut it a yarn and fasten off and we are done with this part let's continue with a heel part the
first and the last two stitches of the heel part are made in the front loops of the palm part that's why we will mark 1 front loop 2 stitches in on both sides you can start off in any of those two mark stitches I will start on my left facing the toe part insert the hook into the front loop and join the yarn with chain one start in the same stitch and work one single crochet into first two stitches but into front two loops only continue working towards the hill work one single crochet into next 24 stitches be careful on the middle of the hill for the slip stitch make sure you skip it
because if you accidentally crochet into it you will have one additional stitch that you have to carry into all next rows there is nothing wrong with that just have in mind that in this case you will have at the end of this row and all next rows one stitch more than I have work your life two stitches in two front loops only and that's the end of row 1 I continue with Row 2 chain 1 and this chain count as a stitch so place the marker into it skip next 2 stitches so the very first one because the chain represents that first stitch so there is no need to make
a stitch into the first one then skip the next one this one is for the shoelace hole now place the hook into the third one where one half double crochet in the next 24 stitches two stitches last skip the first one for the shoelace hole and work one half double crochet into the last one at the end of this row you should have 26 stitches in total row 3 chain 1 and turn the chain here does not count as a stitch work one single crochet into next 26 stitches because we didn't skip or add any stitches we have to have at the end of this row 26 stitches in total row for
two rows left this row is very similar to Row two so chain one and turn the chain here count as a stitch so skip first two and place the hook into the third one work one half double crochet in the next 22 stitches to stitch a slat skip one for the shoelace and work one half double crochet into the last one let's continue with the next row our last row row five chain one and turn the chin here does not count as a stitch so start in the first one and work one single crochet in the next 24 stitches now cut the yarn and fast enough hike all the yarn tails and start on the
shoelaces the shoes are almost done all you need to do now is add shoelaces you will insert them into four holes for skip stitches two in row two and two in row four so let's start with the shoelaces create a slip knot insert the crochet hook into the loop and chain eighty-five cut the yarn and pull the yarn tails through now make a tight knot on both sides of the chain and insert the shoelaces into the shoe first put the shoe in front of you you're facing the front part insert one end from the outside to the inside of the shoe now insert the shoelace into the opposite
facing hole starting from the inside to the outside when you pull the shoelace through both loops make sure it is the same length on both sides that's actually very important now find the hole in a diagonal direction and then insert each end of the shoelace into the hole from the inside to the outside make a nice bowl and you are done and here they are cute crochet baby sneakers the left and the right shoe are exactly the same so all you have to do now is repeat all the steps again and that's it okay guys that would be all for today please share your ideas for next videos in the

in each stitch across for row six we're going to chain one and now we're going to single crochet into the next seven stitches for row seven we're going to chain one turn our work and single crochet in each stitch across and you will also be doing this for rows eight and nine for row ten we're going to chain one single crochet into the next seven stitches after you single crochet seven we're going to be chaining seven four row 11 we're going to be single crocheting into the second chain from the hook and we're going to do a single
crochet into each of the remaining chains and the stitches all the way down the row for row 12 we're going to chain one and we're going to single crochet into each stitch across and we're going to repeat that for rows 13 through 15 fasten off your work at the end of row 15 and cut a long piece of yarn and put it through your blunt needle and now we're going to fold our piece in half and we're going to be whip stitching around through the three sides here around this side along the base and up the other side to get started with your

Crochet Baby Booties / Socks / Slippers Pattern & Tutorial


you I am outside to prove that Spring has finally arrived and today I am thinking about little tiny feet this is the season of baby showers and all things young and full of renewal and I thought it was time we made something for the tiny members of the family again these baby socks are very simple to make don't use up very much yarn and they also transform into a cute little slippers so if you're looking for a nice simple baby bootie pattern then this is it and you don't have to stop here you can decorate them with little bows or little rosettes
you can make them plain and put little frilly things on them this is a great simple little bootie sock pattern and we are going to make that today so without further ado let's head on over to the crafts table and get stitching in order to make our little socks I am using my favorite 4.25 millimeter hook it's also known as a g6 or a I think it's a UK 7 but you can use the 4 or the 4.5 what you want to do is make sure you're using a hook that's the right size for the yarn you've chosen I have a yarn needle and a pair of scissors and today I'm
using this really cute stuff called gumdrop by red heart it's a size 4 but not all fours are made the same so remember that for example some other other red heart typical worsted weight is a lot fluffier or somehow thicker than this and that might be because it has an extra ply to it and if you see my video on how to look at ply you'll know what I'm talking about so just make sure that whatever you use it's got a nice soft feel to it this is a soft acrylic and that you're using the right size hook and you will end up with a pair of
baby booties or little socks here that are soft and comfortable so once you've got all that let's get into it in order to start our sock and this is what it looks like unraveled so it really does look like a little sock you can roll it down and make it a bootie but we're going to start right here at the toe and like all right things I like to do we're going to start with a cinch circle so you take your yarn and you make a loop and if you're uncomfortable with the cinch circle I do have a tutorial I'll post that down in
the description box below and you can take a look at that if you need the extra help so once you've got your cinch circle you're going to single crochet seven into the circle so I'm going to work over my little tail here and I'm going to single crochet seven single crochet stitches into my cinch circle once you've single crocheted seven stitches into your cinch circle take a hole that little string give it a nice tight tug and that cinches your circle shut now if you want you can put a safety pin or a stitch marker on the
first or the last stitch in this row because you're going to need to refer to it as a little reference point and if you can't always see that little bump that's created when you close your circle and start working into the next stitch you might want to pause and just put a little safety pin on either this stitch or the stitch to the front of it just so you can always see it and it doesn't interfere with the rest of your crochet but if you don't need that we're going to continue on we're going to work in the round so there's no joining of
rows into the next stitch so you can identify your next stitch you're going to work two single crochet and you're going to work two single crochet into each stitch all the way around so that Row one which is seven stitches will be 14 by the end of Row two so two single crochet into each stitch all the way around for a total of fourteen 13 and 14 now I've been working over top of my little tail you can do that too or you can just keep it to the back and weave it in later I just sort of like to do it all at once so there's Row 1 Row 1 with seven
stitches Row 2 is 14 because we put two single crochet into each stitch all the way around we are still expanding our circle so we are now going to work two single crochet into the next stitch one single crochet into the stitch after that and then two one two one two one all the way around and at the end of Row three you will have a total of 21 so two single crochet into the next stitch one single crochet into the following stitch two single crochet into the next stitch and one into the next stitch so you're going to repeat that pattern two one two one all
the way around and at the end of Row three you will have a total of 21 and 21 if you're not sure it's always a good idea to count when you finished your row so I would pull up on my loop take my hook out of the way so I can see what I'm doing and I'm going to start with the stitch right next to the one that I just finished off with and I'm going to count all the way around one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve thirteen fourteen fifteen sixteen seventeen eighteen nineteen twenty twenty-one City twenty-one is the
last stitch I finished this is the loop that sits on my hook so it doesn't count as anything now we're finished all of our increasing so we're just going to do some straight single crochet for several rows now bout 11 in total so we've done rows one two and three and rows four through 14 are just going to be single crochet now you want the length of your little sock to be about three inches so before you start turning the heel which we'll get to you want this peace here so from the end of your toe to about where you're going to finish
all of your straight single crochet you want that to be between three and three and a half inches I've chosen 14 rows in total so by the time I get to row 14 I'm about three inches just a little over three inches deep and that's it for this little pair of socks whatever length you wind up at let's say three inches for you is 15 rows or three inches for you is 13 rows or maybe you're making it for a slightly bigger baby foot and you want to make it a little bit longer whatever you do however many rows of straight single
crochet you end up with write it down make sure you grab a pen and a paper and just make note how many rows you did just so when you make your second sock it's exactly the same so for me I know that I need to have a total of 14 rows in the bottom part of my sock that's starting at the end of my toe and working all the way back so for the next 11 rows so rows 4 through 14 I'm just going to single crochet in every stitch all the way around and I'm going to create a tube and when I'm finished I will show you exactly what
that looks like okay I've just finished the last stitch in my fourteenth row so you're gonna have something that looks like well a tube I've highlighted that lat that first or last stitch of my first row by putting a little safety pin in it so that way I can see my start point or what I like to consider my start point and I know that if I follow that line all the way up here that's basically where I should put my last stitch and I did more or less so now that we've done the toe and the foot section of our little sock so basically
this part here we're going to put in the heel now you can change colors and put in a heel and a different color if you want but I just did it all one color because I like these all one color socks I just think this yarn is so cute so what we're going to do is we are going to single crochet once into each of the next two stitches so what you're doing is you're single crocheting two stitches past your start point and it doesn't have to be exact but it is you do want to go just past your start point right about a couple of
stitches now we're going to chain one turn our work and into the first stitch we're going to single crochet and you're going to single crochet across five so the first five stitches going back on the roll you just finished you're going to single crochet into those five stitches just those five and once you've done that always make sure you stop and count one two three four five five stitches chain one turn your work single crochet back across those five stitches four and five and now here's the cool thing you're going to identify the next stitch
so this one not the one you worked in to this one here but this one I'll just put my hook right through it so you can see it this is the next stitch next to the work that you've been doing you're going to single crochet into that stitch alright you're going to chain one and now since you've added a stitch you're going to single crochet back across those six stitches there's one two three four five and six and last one is sometimes a little tight so just be patient with yourself try not to split your yarn
there we go six now you're going to do the same thing on this side so you're going to identify the next unworked stitch next to this work you've been doing which happens to be this one and you're going to single crochet into that that makes seven across chain one turn single crochet back across those seven stitches oops and you're going to continue this little pattern of single crocheting back across the row that you worked getting to that last one and then identifying the next stitch so the next one that's unworked
work that stitch chain one turn and you're going to work back and the last row of this will be the tenth stitch that you add to your heel so every time you do a little row like this you're adding a stitch to your heel count by picking up the unworked stitch next to your heel section and once you've got ten stitches across you've finished your little heel section so this for me is nine chain one turn I like to count it loud one two three four five six seven eight and nine and I identify the next on work stitch next to my heel section and I work that stitch
this makes ten ten in a row so my entire heel section is ten stitches across you'll notice there's a little bit of a like a as they got the split here don't worry about that cuz that'll disappear and if you've gone back and forth the right number of times you're going to notice that you're back going in the right direction that's if you're right-handed if you're left-handed it'll be the other way but after you've added your tenth stitch to your heel count you're just going to
start to continue single crocheting all the way around your sock so you added your tenth stitch and you're just going to continue single crochet all the way around that open sock area so now what we're doing is we're sort of blending the heel section into the rest of the tube sock once you get all the way around to the other side of your sock and this is all single crochet there's no extra stitches or anything in here work that last on work stitch next to the heel section skip any of the funny-looking things in here and skip right up to that first stitch on the top
of your heel section work a nice somewhat tighter than normal single crochet if you can manage it and you'll see that there's barely a splice here there's barely any space or hole and if you do end up with one that's a little uncomfortable you can always just sort of run a couple stitches through it afterwards but if you make a nice tight couple of stitches here you won't even see it and now you can just continue single crochet all the way around this little opening so you've created your heel and now you can just keep going all
the way around the open part of your sock and you're going to create the upper part you're going to put in a total of ten rows on top of that sock so we've just completed the first row all the way around you want to have nine more so or as tall as you want to make it just make sure that you count when you finish your first sock and you do the same number of rows in your second sock so for me on top of this heel area that's an additional ten rows and that will be how tall I make my little baby sock so I'm just going to continue
single crocheting in every single stitch around you should have a stitch count of 21 because you have not taken away any stitches and you have not added any stitches by creating your heel section so you should still have 21 stitches and you can just keep single crocheting all the way around until your sock is as tall as you like and when we are finished making them as tall as we like I'll show you exactly where you should fasten off and how to leave everything in okay once you finished the number of rows in my case 10 that you want to make in order to make the
top of your sock long enough and remember you want to be able to fold it down in case you want that sort of sweet little bootie look so make sure that it's tall enough to do that once you've got that number of rows you want to make sure that you come around to the middle back of your sock so fold your sock down hmm grab your little heel and fold it down too and just sort of pick the middle of that space and you come around to the middle of that back of your sock and then just put your last stitch make it a slip stitch in the middle back of your
sock now if you're using yarn like me which is kind of slippery and a little on the sort of satiny side cut yourself a slightly longer tail than you normally would for fastening off pull that back through that working loop all the way and then give it a nice tug but you'll notice with some of the slippery or slippery or your slippery slippery up your the yarns it is livery you'll notice that sometimes the knots don't want to stay they kind of want to just sort of undo themselves so this is where we use a weaving back and forth method
to make sure that it doesn't unwind so I'm going to pick up a few of the stitches along the inside of the top of my baby sock with my yarn needle I'm going to thread up the tail and just going to pull it through those stitches now to make sure that I don't I don't want to tug it too tightly so I want to you know give it a little bit of a bit a stretch when I'm finished just so that I don't interrupt the shape of the sock I'm going to now look at where I came out so there's this the last stitch that
I came out on and you see this is a two-part stitch because it's the backside of a stitch so I'm going to skip the first part of this stitch I'm going to go over top of that pick up the other half of that stitch and then put my my my needle back through the few stitches that I came through and then I'm going to go back past them and pick up a few more I'm going to keep my tail there and pull it back through all of those stitches and try not to make it so that you end up pulling your stitches out of alignment so be gentle and by
going over top of that stitch oops and weaving them in and now we're going to do the same thing going the other way over top of one piece of that stitch and back the other way you're going to lock down your tail so that it will not easily unravel and these socks can be tossed in a gentle wash cycle in the washing machine and you don't have to worry about any unraveling so you want to go back and forth at least three times and if you've got any little tail left over after that make sure you don't you don't pull
anything out of alignment if you've got any little tail left over after that you can feel free to snip it off as close to those stitches as possible and if you use a safety pin make sure you take that out nice and neatly try not to upset your stitches and there you go a pair of absolutely adorable baby socks which because of their nice thick crocheted fabric you can roll down the top and you can have little baby booties instead you can also put a cute little bow here or a pretty little button or if you've got some little mini patches of like little
bumblebees or something they would look cute right here or maybe on the toe you know let your imagination run wild this is a nice basic baby sock pattern and oh my gosh what a cute little bit of yarn there you go everybody a cute simple pair of baby booties or socks or slippers whatever you want to call them you can dress them up real fancy or leave them nice and plain these make a super gift for anybody is expecting a new pair of feet in the family very soon thank you so much for watching everyone we will see you again really soon remember you can join us on facebook and

[Music] hi everyone it's me Jenny and welcome to my youtube channel in this video I'm going to show you how to crochet four sizes of baby booties this is size zero to three months this is three to six months six to nine months and nine to twelve months okay for the measurement for the Soul it is 3.5 inches and for the height of this 0 to 3 months it is two engines okay for three to six months the sole is four inches and for the height it is 2.5 inches and for size six to nine months for the Soul it is measure four point five inches and for the height three inches and for nine
to twelve months for the Soul it is a measure five inches and for the height 3.5 inches okay so I'm gonna show you firstly how to crochet these zero to zero to three months first and then three to six months six to nine months and nine to toughen and for this tutorial I'm going to use medium weight yarn number four this is red heart Super Saver 100% acrylic I'm going to use three point five millimeter crochet hook scissor and needle to even ends case on a start start by making a slip knot okay now chain nine one two three four five six seven eight nine now once you
get all nine chained make three double crochet into the third chain from the crochet hook so one two three three double crochet into the third chain one two three okay next make 5 double crochet one two three four five next you're going to make six double crochet into the first chain right here okay six double crochet one two three four five and six okay next make five double crochet into the next chain one two true four five and make 3 double crochet into this chain right it is the same chain way I made the three double crochet earlier three double crochet so this is

so this is how it looks like so before I start the next round I just want to make sure whether my beginning stitch is at the center now this is Center so I'm just gonna continue round five for round five so that we chain one okay for Round four you should have total of 27 stitches okay so for round five let's start with chain one now I'm going to make eight single crochet okay starting from the stitch next to chain one eight single crochet one two three four five six seven eight the next make half double crochet decrease so to make half double crochet

one half double crochet and the last half double crochet decrease okay so for our five you should have total of four half double crochet decrease one two three four with one half double crochet in between okay so next make eight single crochet one two three four five six seven eight okay now slip stitch done with round five for round four round five you should have total of 23 stitches okay so this is how it looks like so I just want to make sure the stitches where is at the center as you can see now it is a little bit at the left so I'm going to slip one stitch
right here to make it Center okay so let's start with round six that we chain one now I'm going to make one sorry I'm going to make nine single crochet starting from the stitch next to chain one nine single crochet so one two three four five six seven eight learn okay next I'm going to make single crochet decrease single crochet decrease is going to be I'm going to show you how to make the same crochet decrease hook into the next stitch yarn over pull the yarn through the stitch and next crochet hook into the next stitch yarn over pull
the yarn through the stitch now I have chill ups on your crochet hooks yarn over and pull through all three loops okay so this is one single crochet decrease next make one single crochet next make another single crochet decrease okay lastly make nine single crochet one two three four five six seven eight nine now slip stitch for round six you should have total of 21 stitches okay so this is how it looks like you can stop right here chain 1 to secure the stitch and cut the yarn but it will not secure on a baby fluid because baby will attempt to move a lot what I like to do is make
another two roundoff double crochet just like these so it will stay on baby feet longer okay so for round seven and eight all you need to do is chain two one two and make twenty one double crochet okay just one double crochet into every stitch okay for round seven and eight I'm going to finish this round for round seven and eight start with chain two and one double crochet into every stitch twenty one stitches okay so I'm going to finish up and I'll see you once I'm done I'm down with round eight so slip stitch chain 1

okay let's start with round seven chain one now make 12 single crochet K 12 single crochet one two three four five six seven eight nine ten 11:12 strophe next I'm going to make four half double crochet decrease with one half double crochet in between decreases okay so I'm going to make the first half double crochet okay first half double crochet next make one half double crochet next make the second half double crochet decrease next stitch make 1 half double crochet okay next make the third half double crochet decrease the next stitch make 1 half double crochet
and lastly make the fourth half double crochet decrease okay so for round seven you should have four decreases for half double crochet decrease one two three four okay next make 12 single crochet one to eleven and twelve no slip stitch for round seven you should have total of 31 stitches okay thirty-one stitches so this is how it looks like now we're going to do the top part of the of the boot okay for the next five rounds once you done with round seven you have total of 31 stitches for round eight until around twelve other words it's going to
be double crochet round all you need to do is every rounds that we chained to one two and make 1 double crochet in every stitches okay one double crochet into every stitch from round eight until round 12 okay I'm going to finish up around eight up to round twelve and I'll get back to you once I'm done hmm hi I'm back and I'm done with round twelve now I'm just going to slip stitch chain 1 to secure and cut the yarn ok next I'm going to weave in ends and I'll see what's I'm done

Crochet Kimono Baby Booties Pattern


Oh one of my favorite things to make our baby booties they're really easy and fast which makes them perfect for beginners but they're also really cute and you can once you know different stitches and different techniques you can always practice them out on smaller projects like booties these are my crochet kimono booties and I've already made the first one just so you'd have an example of what it looks like has a different colored sole and then a band that wraps around like a kimono to make the actual top of the shoe why do you
baby booties you're only going to need a couple of things you're gonna need your only two colors a main color and a contrast color for actual booty these are worsted weight yarns and you don't want any any brand any company it doesn't matter but you're gonna want something that's soft so if it's worn by a baby it'll feel nice against their skin you're also going to need a 5 millimeter crochet hook some scissors these are just tiny little ones I happen to have and I'm a tapestry needle these
are also called yarn needles because they have an eye that's big enough for beyond to go through and the tip is blocked this particular blunt tip needle I got online and all the links everything I have are going to be in the description below so there's anything you want from here you can just click below to get it so let's get started let's start by making our band with the main color first you're going to slip knot to start leave a little bit of a tail are you Tris up not and insert your hook through it and tighten it to the hook
and now for the first row we're gonna start with chain six so one two three four five and six this is your foundation rub now I'm going to skip this first base and with a single crochet into the second space from the hook to insert your hook to the space go beneath both loops yarn over pull up a loop now you have two loops on your hook yarn over again and pull through both loops repeat this over the next four stitches to the end of the row insert your hook pull up a loop and pull through both loops this is the last one okay that's fine
we started with chain six but that first chain before you start this row is a turning chain so you should have five stitches now one two three four and five okay so start the next row or the chain one and then turn your work and warp another row of single crochet this time we're going to go underneath the actual stitches under both of these loops into the space and walk it the same way I pull up a loop yarn over and pull through both loops drop all the way down the line two three or and five be sure to count as you go so you always have the right number of
digits and you don't miss any okay I chain one and turn again I'm just to repeat that for a total of 27 rows so you did one and two I keep going for another 25 rows and then I'll meet you back here here is what the band looks like after you've worked twenty seven rows these are all just single crochet and I've only worked five to just freed row on this last road is the 27th row I left the last stitch on or so I can show you how I change colors so you start the stitch off normally insert into the space yarn over and pull up a loop and
now you have two loops on your hook but instead of yarning over and pulling through it the same color we're gonna change colors so get your contrast color and leave a bit of space just in case and then yarn over with the new color and pull through now you can see how this ditch itself is finished with that same old main color but the next stitch is going to start with the contrast color give these two strings at the end a little tug to tighten it up and you can go ahead and cut your main color right now again leave some space for the long tail but just go ahead and cut that
now we're gonna make the contrast color rib or this like extra line over here we're gonna make that and we're gonna do that by working along the side of this band that you made so now just there's no real spaces here as there are like with these stitches there's gonna work into the sides of each row you're gonna insert your hook yarn over and pull up a loop and pull through both loops just a normal single crochet except you're working to the side so continue all the way along you can also just leave these
here so that they get trapped between the two stitches and you don't see them or you can leave them out let's leave them out okay so again just enter your hook into the space yarn over and pull up a loop and pull through both if you have this dish pile up a bit you can just give it a little tug and I'll go back to normal size single crochet down the line this line of contrast color also adds a nice clean edge to the piece you can see how you have a nice like stitches along the edge of this top now whereas otherwise you would have just had youth
bumps for this part I'm not really counting how many stitches are just working into the side of each row when you get to the end we're gonna bind off but leave a long tail so to bind off it's gonna insert my hook into this first chain space and make a slipknot then yarn over again and pull through that one loop to chain one we're just gonna pull the rest now I've already cut a long length of this know it's gonna pull the rest of it out then we'll give it a little tug to tighten dude you're clean bind off here is the
first part after crochet come on a bootie the next part is we're gonna make the sole and then bring it all together okay to attach the sole of the bootie we're gonna need to work on to the other side over here I'm only gonna be working on the middle stitches this is 27 rows so we're going to attach it new yarn around row 11 so that there's 10 stitches on this side and 10 on this side and then our spooty so we'll start right in the middle so to do that let's get our yarn there's a contrast color yarn like a
slip dot and let's get the done our Huck we're actually let's take it off her hook for a second give us if not and let's find the eleventh row so you have one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven this is where you want to touch the new yarn so insert your hook into the space and then into through your slip knot and pull the slip knot through then you can with the tail end of your yarn go and just chain one here so that's your first stitch we're going to count that as a single crochet and I'm
going to single crochet six more across the side here one two three four five six should have a total of seven stitches now including this first chain so one two three four five six seven okay and chain one and turn the walk around I'm gonna single crochet across all seven stitches again and just continue working in rows don't forget this last space there's really your first chain space sorry I only got one loop make sure to go under both loops chain one and turn see how that part of the booty is now just attached to the side that means you
won't have to sew it on later certain continue doing this just single crocheting along for 11 rows total so you have one two I'll continue going for nine more rows a little off-camera and then be back after you've worked 11 rows you'll have this block it's pretty square so we're going to need a couple of rows to shape the toe into something a little bit more rounded so at the end of the year eleventh row chain 1 and turn you're gonna decrease across the first two stitches so instead of working single crochet into the first stitch
insert your hook yarn over and pull up a loop then insert your hook into the next space yarn over and pull up another loop and I have three loops on your hook and yarn over we pull through all three loops just turn those two stitches into just one decreasing it you're going to work three single crochet across the next three spaces just as you normally would one two and three even decrease across the last two stitches guess it enter your hook pull up a loop then turn to the next space and pull up another loop yarn over and pull through all three loops now instead of seven
spaces you have five because you decrease these two now chain one we're going to work another decrease row decrease again the first two one and two you're at up that's one decrease now you're gonna chain one or single crochet one and decrease across the next two now you only have three touches left which is good see how the edges are rounded now it's less square you still have a flat tip so now we're gonna bind off and then actually sew everything together so you have a finished booty the chain one and then where are my scissors
and then just snip the end of your yarn leave a little bit of room I just spent the end of the yarn and pull it through to bind off okay you should have something like a t-shape you can ignore all these loose ends and stuff for now we're going to weave them in at the end later and this is a long and that I left after adding this contrast row in this well we're going to use to help so the whole thing together okay let's get started on that first let's see the front side and the back side of these you can tell the dips are the front because the side looks
neater and it just looks cleaner than the other side does you turn it around you'll see that you can see the back of these stitches a little bit too much so I want to hide that but the front side looks really nice and clean so you we're gonna do is we're gonna sew along this edge here to attach all the ends together and then in the end we're gonna cut the threads and turn it inside out and then it'll look like this so I've already threaded my yarn through my tapestry needle right here and we're gonna start at this corner right here
first just insert your needle and pull it through just anchor it in place there's gonna be a lot of extra yards and strings right now so just pull those aside and ignore them you're only gonna be focusing on this one right now you can actually trap these other yarns in if you want to kind of start hiding them a little bit but we're gonna weave the ends in later anyway so you don't really need to let's come in a little bit closer you can see what I'm doing insert your needle under one loop the top part that you're trying to attach the gray
and pull through and you're going to go into the blue you move it aside for now if you can't see what you're doing go under a loop and pull up then again just go under the gray you okay so I've shown someone along this front end of the toe and down the side to touch this side of the flap down to the sole now I don't want to cut the thread and have more loose ends to deal with so now I'm gonna go across these stitches in the back I'm just gonna take my needle I'm just go underneath them just to bring my yarn over to the other
side so I can sell the other side of the down without having to deal with cutting the yarn and then reattaching it somewhere else and having all those loose ends to deal with we have enough to insert your needle through them and then well it slowly you don't want to like cinch it in anyway you don't want it to be tighter than everybody originally is you just kind of want to bring the yarn over to the other side okay and because it's the same color of the soil you can't really even see the color difference now let's move all
these out of the way you have one side one side sewn down along these two sides and now you have this one I'm gonna fold this bop over here and then you can also sew this gray down to the sole here keep this out this is the actual cuff of it this part over here that we want to keep we want to keep that separate so you're just gonna fold so this gray side down to the bottom so I'm leaving this up go along the edge here and then across the middle you can sew it directly to the blue here or you can even just sew it onto the top of the gray it won't really
matter because the seam will be on the inside but I like to sew it onto the onto the blue just because the color matches already okay so go ahead and do that and I'll meet you back here to show you the finished product okay so sewed all the edges together and then I use my tapestry needle and also weaved in all of those loose ends and Tails that we had and then trimmed all the excess yarn so it would be nice and clean now this is still inside out I just want to show you that when you turn it inside right-side out you can see how on this edge it's a little bit not so
neat you could have stopped back on the stitches look and yeah let's flip it inside out I'd have to make sure to push all the corners out with your fingers and especially at the toe area and when you're done this is what you have I have a pair of a little matching come on a booties and have them either this way or this way or if you did it the other way around you they might even be going the same way but it'll go whichever way you sew the top edge on

How To Crochet BABY BOOTIES For Beginners | Croby Patterns

the written instructions on my blog crabby patterns the link is in the description box down below there is also a pdf pattern with one additional size available in my pattern shops on etsy revelry and love crochet they are available as instant downloads which means that you can download them and use them right away so the boots are very simple to make I divided the whole pattern into three parts the first part is the sole the second part is the upper part of the shoe and the third final part is the strap around the ankle now with all this said let me show you what you will need
for this tutorial you're going to need our unwaith yarn I will be using paint books cotton Aran yarn in shade slate gray and pillar red this is a hundred percent cotton yarn then you will need 3.5 millimeter crochet hook stitch marker scissors and a tapestry needle we are going to start this tutorial with two already made babies Souls the pattern for crochet babysoul is the same for most of my patterns especially for those that I published after I posted my video for crochet baby soul I've made a separate video tutorial and written instructions
that you can follow to create a soul so if you're not coming from the tutorial for crochet baby soul cop over to that video first finish to crochet souls and then come back you can find the link to that video in the right upper corner of this video or in the description box below one small tip before you go the first round on the upper part of the shoe is made with gray yarn therefore I would advise creating one sole first finishing the first round on the upper part and then start working on the second sole just so you don't have to cut the yarn
between the last round on the sole and round one on the upper part of the shoe because they are made with the same yarn and color now that you have that let's start with the upper part if you cut the yarn after making the sole and reattach the gray yarn now chain one and then work one back post half double crochet into each stitch all the way around the back post half double crochet stitches are very similar to the ordinary half double crochet stitches just that you work back post half double crochet stitches around the stitches from a row or round below instead of working into
the loops on the top of the stitch yarn over first then insert the hook from the back around the stitch from the row below [Music] grab the loop and pull it through [Music] yarn over again and then pull the loop through all the loops on your crochet hook [Music] repeat that for all the stitches [Music] [Music] now when you come to the end of the round make sure you skip the chain from the round below because that is not a stitch is just there to get us to the next round and then work a slip stitch into the very first stitch of the round if you're using stitch markers then this
shouldn't be a problem but if you are not using stitch markers please be careful here and make sure you're skipping the chain from the beginning of the round otherwise you will end up with one additional stitch this round when you have that cut the yarn pull the yarn through your last stitch then insert the hook into the first stitch of the round coming from the inside of the shoe wrap the yarn tail and pull it through that stage [Music] now take the red yarn attach it to the shoe with chain one to the first stitch of the round which is also the same
stitch where you will start this round and work on half double crochet stitch ordinary half double crochet stitches this time into each stitch all the way around so were one half double crochet into each of next 44 stitches [Music] as you can see here on crocheting over the yarn tails you can do that as well or you can hide them between the stitches later with the tapestry needle [Music] [Music] [Music] finish the round of half double crochet stitches and then join the round with a slip stitch [Music] this is now round three this is the round where we are going to start
decreasing on the front upper part of the shoe and this is also our first round of the creases out of three we started around with chain one then start working on single crochet stitches so work one single crochet stitch into each of next eleven stitches [Music] when you have that start repeating the sequence so join first two with half double 2 together stitch and then work one half double crochet into each of next 2 stitches repeat the whole sequence 5 times [Music] [Music] now join the next two with a half-double 2 together stitch [Music] from now on is pretty easy and
straightforward so work one single crochet into each of next eleven stitches then joined around with a slip stitch and your third round is complete [Music] [Music] here we are in round four create one chain to lift around top proper height sometimes the scene on the hill can start leaning to the right when that happens I skip one stitch at the beginning of the round and then I make my last stitch of the round into the slip stitch and with that I push the whole round to the left for one stitch I will show you how do I do that in this round you can do the same or you can
start as we've started all the runs before so in very first stitch of the round I'm going to skip the first one and then I'm going to work one single crochet into each of next 12 stitches [Music] we're at one half double crochet into the next one [Music] join next two stitches with a half double crochet 2 together stitch now join 2 and 2 together with a double crochet 2 together stitch so yarn over first then insert a hook into the stitch and pull the yarn through yarn over and pull the loop through first two loops yarn over again and insert hook into the
stitch and pull the yarn through yarn over and pull the loop through first two loops on your hook yarn over again and pull through all the loops on your hook repeat that stitch four times in total [Music] [Music] [Music] join the next two with a half-double 2 together stitch [Music] we're one half double crochet into the next one [Music] work one single crochet into each of next 12 stitches [Music] here we are at the end of the round you can see the very last stitch and the slip stitch here because I'm skipping the very first stitch of the round I'm
going to use the slip stitch not the turning chain but the slip stitch from the row below for my last stitch of the round [Music] [Music] after that judge joined the round with a slip stitch and this round is complete [Music] we are in round five now this one is pretty simple because it doesn't have any new crochet stitches start off the round with chain one then work one single crochet into each of next ten stitches [Music] [Music] join the next two stitches with a half double two together stage [Music] repeat the double crochet 2 together stitch 4 times [Music]
[Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] then join next two stitches with a half double two together stage [Music] we're going single crochet into each of next ten stitches [Music] [Music] then finish the round with a slip stitch [Music] [Music] we are now in round six chain one to start the round then we're upon half double crochet into each of next 26 stitches when you complete all the stitches joined around with a slip stitch [Music] [Music] the stitches in the stitch count for the next two runs are exactly the same chain-2 to live the round top proper height and work one double crochet into
each stitch all the way around that's 26 stitches in total you don't gain or lose any stitches in those rounds when you come to the end of the round join the round with a slip stitch and start the next round you can pause the video here and come back when you complete both rounds of double crochet stitches [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Bronk 9 is also our last round on the upper part made with rat yarn when we finish this round we are going to continue with a strap this one is the same as round 6 so chain want to lift around to a proper height then work one
half double crochet into each stitch all the way around and that's 26 stitches in total [Music] when you have that joined around with a slip stitch cut the yarn fasten off and pull the yarn tail through the first stitch of the round from the outside in [Music] [Music] now let's work on the strap we are going to start off by taking two stitch markers and we are going to place those two to the front center of the last round made with red yarn when you have that take a small amount of gray yarn and chain 24 and that is going to be the length of our strap if
you would like to make it longer just add a couple of chains to those 24 [Music] [Music] now attach the chain to the shoe with your first single crochet stitch then work one single crochet into each stitch all the way around that 26 stitches in total you will have to skip the slip stitch on the back of the shoe so be careful with that and if you accidentally use that slip stitch on the back it's not really a big deal then you will end up with 27 stitches instead of 26 which is also okay [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] no chain 24 [Music] [Music] cut the yarn fasten off and tie a knot

baby booties crochet pattern for beginners

Today I'll show you how to make these simple baby booties for zero to six
months. Other sizes are on naztazia.com To do this I'm using less than 50 yards
of Red Heart's Chic Sheep and a size F hook. To begin, chain 15. Skip the first
chain and single crochet in the next 14 chains. Chain 1 and turn your work. Single
crochet in each of the 14 stitches going under both loops. Continue doing this for
a total of 20 rows. On the last stitch of the twentieth row, begin the single
crochet with the green and finish it
with another color yarn such as white. Chain one and turn. Working in the back
loops only, make 8 single crochet stitches across. One two three four five
six seven and eight. Chain 1 and turn your work. Single crochet in the back
loops of those same eight stitches. At the end begin your single crochet
with the white yarn and then change over to the green yarn which you've been
carrying up the sides. Chain one and turn your work. Do 8 single crochet stitches. And do another row with the green yarn.
Make 22 total rows of alternating white and green yarn. Cut the yarn with a long
tail end and fasten off. Your work should
be about nine and a half inches this way,
and three and a half inches this way. Fold the large green in half like this.
And fold the stripes like this. Sew the striped section to the solid color
section. Now we're going to gather the striped
section. Use your yarn to weave in and out along the top edge of the front of
the shoes. You can go around a second time to get a more secure fit. Pull the
strand to tighten. Weave in all ends. Securely fold over the sides. With the
other strand of yarn weave in and out of the bottom edge. Do this twice to get a
strong fit. Pull tight. Make a few
stitches to knot it in place.
Now you can seam together the bottom section. And weave in all ends. If you
want a button as a decoration be sure to sew it on really tightly so the baby
can't pull it off. These zero to six slippers are about three and a half
